WITH AIRUSER marking its 30th anniversary this year, we sat down for some quick questions with ALMiG UK MD Martin Waller, discussing the changes he’s seen in the compressed air sector during the past three decades and what looks likely to set the agenda for the years ahead

AirUser: What’s been the biggest change you’ve seen in the compressed air sector during the time you’ve been in the industry?
Martin Waller: In the 48 years I have worked in the compressed air industry, the biggest change I have seen is the volume of different brands being sold in the UK market.
AU: What’s been your biggest professional milestone during your career in compressed air?
MW: Being asked to head up the formation of ALMiG UK in 2008.
AU: In your view, what is the one thing likely to have the biggest influence or impact on the sector in the years ahead?
MW: In the coming years I see a shift in the historical distributor-based service providers, moving more to manufacturer-owned service providers.
