CPA announces new business development manager
AS CP Automation continues to grow its customer and partner relationships both within and outside Europe, the company has appointed Katarina Mitchell as its new business development manager

In her new role, Mitchell will focus on developing relationships with new and existing customers and partners, while identifying opportunities to support the company’s continued growth.
She will build these relationships through customer and partner visits, as well as attending exhibitions across the UK and Europe. She will also help identify new product opportunities and shape CP Automation’s product and service offering, with a particular focus on its growing power quality business.
“I’ve followed CP Automation for several years, and I was drawn to the depth of knowledge within the team and the strong partnerships built up over more than two decades,” said Mitchell. “I want to play my part in identifying new opportunities that will help drive sustainable growth across the business.
“I’m particularly excited about power quality, both commercially and in developing my own technical knowledge,” she added. “This includes the work we’re doing around product development, as we continue to develop and expand our power quality offering. There’s so much in the pipeline, and I’m looking forward to getting stuck in.”
Since joining CP Automation, Mitchell has already travelled extensively across the UK and Europe, visiting customers, factories and partners in industries including steel, paper, manufacturing and food production. She has also represented the company at trade shows, taking responsibility for the stand at the Water Equipment Show in Telford.
Alongside her customer and partner work, Mitchell has been exploring solutions around predictive maintenance and proactive electrical health monitoring, following a trade show she attended in Italy. This includes looking at how electrical health could be monitored proactively rather than only addressed once power quality issues arise.
Originally from Sweden, Mitchell began her career working in her family’s business before moving to the UK, where she worked in multilingual technical support. She later joined Rockwell Automation in Milton Keynes, supporting Swedish customers with industrial automation software, before spending seven years in a customer-facing role covering Scandinavia and the wider European market.
