Land Rover Vehicles has specified
Hughes Pumps water jetting
equipment for an innovative and
environmentally friendly skid
cleaning facility that’s designed to be
an efficient and cost effective way of
removing over spayed paint on skids
used to transport Range Rover,
Discovery and Land Rover bodies
through the company’s paint shop.

Previously Land Rover had sent
the paint skids off-site where paint
deposits were burnt off in ovens. Not
only has water jetting proved more
environmentally friendly as it uses
only clean water, but the new skid
cleaning facility has also enabled
skids to be cleaned on-line without
disruption to production.
