The problem of blocking
pumps was occurring in a
central London pumping
station that receives effluent
from a number of sites,
including the Royal Ballet
School. Essex-based
Technical Drain Solutions
used to get called out to clear
and clean the pumping
station. Poor accessibility in a
congested part of central
London, along with the
sensitive nature of the site
required a more effective
pumping solution.

Following discussions
between Technical Drain
Solutions and P&M Pumps,
(UK distributor for Vaughan
Chopper Pumps), a duty and
a standby pump were
specified from the Vaughan
range – model PE4L vertical
pedestal mounted options
with 7.5kW/4p/415v motors.

Call-outs to blocked
pumps have now been
eliminated.
