Loctite has added to its
comprehensive Health
and Safety range of nonhazardous
engineering
adhesives with three
hazard-label-free
cyanoacrylates, more
commonly known as
instant adhesives.

Clean and easy to apply, these
adhesives are particularly suitable
where aesthetics are important and
form the Loctite front-line offering
for very fast positioning and
fixturing of parts. Classified nonirritant,
their ability to join a wide
variety of dissimilar materials
extends to the bonding of
porous/acidic substrates such as
wood, paper, leather and cork
as well as plastics, rubber and
metals. The resultant shear and
tensile bond strength is said
to be excellent even on very
small bond faces.

The new Health and Safety
instant adhesives are colourless with
low bloom and low odour. All have a
typical fixture time of 5-20, seconds
dependant on the substrates.
