A land-based rig with J D
Neuhaus handling
equipment has been
supplied by National
Oilwell Varco – Dreco
Energy Services ULC to
United Oilfield Services.

The BOP handling
equipment supplied with
this contract comprised
two J D Neuhaus Profi 20
Ti-H hoists, each with
overhead rail mounting motorised
trolleys to provide individual 20t lift
capacities. A requirement was that
equipment should be CE marked
and ATEX certified.

Each hoist is tested with 25%
overload and certified accordingly.

JDN lifting and handling equipment
is also in use on jack-up rigs, semisubmersibles,
drill ships
and FPSOs.

Of all-steel cast iron
construction, the Profi
range of hoists can be
supplied to cover
individual lift capacities
from 0.25 to 100t. They
can be either air or
hydraulically powered.

Individual hoists can also
be supplied with trolleys
which can provide for manual, reel
chain or motorised lateral
movements of hoists along their
overhead support beam.
