Mining Machinery Developments
(MMD) multi-million pound factory
expansion includes a mix of overhead
travelling and jib cranes from Street
Crane Company.

Three 20t overhead cranes in each
of two new bays run on full-length
free-standing 60m gantries. They are
double girder box beam design and
have infrared anti-collision systems so
can safely operate on the same track.

For lifts to 40t, they may be used in
tandem and weight distributed by
spreader beam. The bays also have
10 x 1t jib cranes.

In the original factory buildings,
Street has installed two double girder
cranes of 50t and one of 25t.
