Pilz Automation Technology has
updated and added to its range of
machinery safety courses to reflect
changes in legislation and has
published a new booklet and
schedule for 2010.

Following the implementation of
the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC,
Pilz has introduced a new course –
‘The New Machinery Directive’ –
which will provide an insight on how
machine manufacturers and users
are affected by the changes of the
new Directive. It describes the
compliance processes, essential health
and safety requirements and new
standards, including advice regarding
EN 954-1 and EN ISO 13849-1.

Further courses have been updated
to address specific aspects of
the new Directive and
Standards.

Although Pilz trainers are
qualified to address individual
concerns, if a more customised
approach is desired, courses
can be tailored to specific
needs.

Two types of course are
offered: those relating to
regulations and standards, and
those specific to Pilz machinery safety
products. Scheduled courses take
place at the Pilz training facilities in
Corby; additional courses can be at a
venue to suit the client.
