The recent IMHX saw
Conveyor Systems Ltd (CSL)
feature its new energy efficient
24V non-contact accumulation
conveyor. The new 24V Motorised
Roller (Zero Line Pressure) conveyor
is said to be ideal for transporting
fragile, high value or irregular shaped
products, providing smooth transfer
and accumulation without the
products touching.

Manufactured using either
extruded low profile aluminium side
frames or in mild steel construction,
the modules are driven using reliable,
energy efficient 24V brushless
motorised rollers that are PLC
controlled in conjunction with sensors
located in each of the driven zones.

The conveyors offer maximum
flexibility to handle varying
throughput rates, unit sizes and traffic
patterns, including ‘singulation’ or
‘train release’ (slugs of products) to
support easy and safe removal of
packages to/from the conveyor.

As specific conveyor zones only
run when there are containers present
on the line energy consumption and
noise is reduced, along with compon –
ent wear and tear, contributing to an
increased operational life.
