Independent provider of testing
and certification services to

protective equipment (PPE),
INSPEC International, has
added personal fall arrest
equipment to the list of
products it can now test and
certify.

The company is accredited
by the United Kingdom
Accreditation Service
(UKAS). Under the terms of
the new award INSPEC has
been endorsed to test fall
arrest equipment to most
European and American
standards in support of the CE
Mark and SEI Mark. Further national
and regional standards will be
added soon.

As one of the first
Notified Bodies for the
European PPE
Directive, INSPEC
already provides test
and certification
services for helmets,
eye protectors,
sunglasses, hearing
protectors, respiratory
protection and
breathing apparatus
(RPE, RPD), gloves
and chemical
protective clothing.
