Flow measurement equipment from
VPInstruments was used by Air
Energy Management in an air audit
at the Astrum factory that produces
military vehicle castings.With the
help of the flow meters, the company
was able determine the potential for
savings.

A Carbon Trust loan helped fund
the energy saving measures. For
example, it paid for low pressure
piping, variable speed compressors
and leak-detection management
equipment. VPVision and several
VPFlowScope flow meters were
bought for compressed air
monitoring and leakage
management. The entire project will
be cost neutral in just four years.
