The new version reflects recent changes to standards, adds standards relating to other aspects of machinery safety, and has more ‘Type C’ standards for specific classes of machine.

The guide has a revised table of British, European and International standards and now lists over 80 standards and other published documents relating to machinery safety. Also included are the latest statistics for industrial accidents, updated lists of useful resources and sources of further information, and background information about the current machinery safety regulations and their relationship with the European Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, together with the Directive’s requirements relating to CE marking of machinery and guarding.
