It addresses the key aspects of working safely with all types and sizes of excavators. The programme demonstrates pre-start checks and basic maintenance, basic trenching, ascending and descending gradients, safe tipper loading and provides an overview of the safe operation of quick-hitch attachments.

Guidance given is consistent with the general operator training requirements of the NPORS (National Plant Operators Registration Scheme) in the UK.
