Second 5-year contract
Wincanton, a provider of supply chain services in Ireland and the UK, has been awarded a five-year contract by supermarket group Morrisons to support the continuing expansion of its ‘M Local’ format in the north of England.
The contract is for combined warehouse and transport operations, supported by Wincanton’s system platform for a new 150,000ft2 cross-dock distribution centre, in Bury, and follows last year’s launch of Morrisons’ first dedicated convenience distribution centre in London where Wincanton manages both transport and warehousing.
