Through-hole air chuck
Represented in the UK and Eire by Leader Chuck Systems, Autogrip’s range of high precision power chucks and rotary cylinders was extended at the 2013 EMO exhibition with the European launch of the AP family of large through-hole 3-jaw power chucks.
Available in through-hole diameters of 52, 66, 86 and 115mm, the range features an integrated pneumatic cylinder which powers the opening and closing of the chuck jaws. This negates the need for a draw bar to provide the jaw clamping force, resulting in a larger through bore capacity for bar feeding raw material.
A pressure detection device guarantees safe operation up to maximum speeds that extend from 4200 rpm for the AP-52 to 3000 rpm for the AP-115.
