The OCME Auriga LGV is controlled from a central PC, which is used to set the missions of the vehicles and manage the flow of traffic. Communication between the PC and the vehicles is via wireless network. Since no wires need to be embedded in the floor, the installation is usually straightforward and, if the plant layout changes in the future, the route of the LGV can be easily modified.

For safety, onboard laser scanning devices bring the vehicle to a safe stop if they detect personnel or any obstacles that pose a collision risk. OCME also designs paths so that a safe distance is always maintained between an LGV and fixed obstacles, such as building columns, walls, doors, equipment.
