width of it emergency
shower cubicles from a
size 12 to a size 16 as
world population shows
an accelerating growth in
the average sized person.

The engineering team at
the company has long
since thought the
recommended ANSI standard of a
34in (86.4cm) cubicle diameter to be
adequate but not ideal.

Managing director, Craig Yates,
said: “When you are panic stricken it
becomes increasingly difficult to
focus on the problem in hand and
act accordingly. Struggling
to quickly strip off
contaminated clothing in a
restricted area is quite
difficult, especially as part
of the space is taken up
with an eyebath facility.

“With the average
person getting bigger and
where there is room to site
a wider cubicle we are now
giving companies the
option.”
