Nilfisk has been established in Ireland since 1957 and became something of a household name in the 1980s. The focus then shifted, with industrial and commercial cleaning machines being sold and serviced across the country.

Nilfisk’s man in Ireland for more than 12 years is David Jordan from Trim in Co. Meath. He manages all national account customers directly with service support provided by a network of authorised distributors. Contract cleaners and industrial market sectors remain key for Nilfisk’s strategy in Ireland, both sectors bringing with them their unique challenges.

Nilfisk believes its strength lies in its wide range of products, a true one-stop-shop for all sectors and applications. An extensive range of industrial cleaning equipment including industrial vacuum cleaners, floor cleaning machines, grounds maintenance and road sweepers are available. Demonstration stock is held in all regions with no-obligation site visits and surveys provided.

One award-winning machine, available for demonstration in Ireland, is the combination sweeper-scrubber the CS7000. This is available in three models: The LPG-Hybrid and ePower Battery versions are designed for indoor use, while the Diesel-Hybrid engine driven machine is suitable for outdoors. All models have been designed to reduce the cost of operation, labour and maintenance, while effectively increasing fuel economy and runtime efficiency. The Hybrid system is reported to provide a fuel saving of up to 30%.

The CS7000 also has a special hot water scrubbing facility which is said to provide excellent cleaning performance. Water is heated to 55° and can be used with or without concentrated chemical as required.

Outdoor range
Nilfisk’s outdoor range comprises compact utility machines including rangers and road sweepers. These multi-purpose machines transform in minutes from suction sweeping to green maintenance and snow clearance.

The Nilfisk City Ranger 3500 suction sweeper for example, is a 4-in-1 machine for use 365 days a year that is said to provide substantial cost savings to the customer. With 4-wheel drive and 51 horse power, the City Ranger 3500 can travel at 38km/h and can cover 20km/h in sweeping mode. Air conditioning comes as standard.

The City Ranger 3500 is well suited to street washing. The street flusher solution combines 2 attachments, a front mounted spray bar with nozzles that pivot up to 25°, and a large water tank that is fitted to the back of the vehicle.

The 1000L polyethylene tank allows powerful high pressure washing of up to 40 bar and is aided by a 10m hand lance. Suitable for municipal clients and contractors, this sturdy machine, with a working width of 1700mm, is built to work around the clock.
