Industrial gas springs have always been part of the ACE product range and some 28 standard models are offered – push and pull type, black coated steel and stainless steel.

However, ACE is always being asked for the urgent replacement of gas springs to match other widely used products. Mike Lees, operations manager said: “We wanted a solution that would meet this ongoing demand for gas spring equivalents. Importantly, however, we wanted to satisfy customer requests from stock. Production downtime is a costly exercise, so the speedier solution the better, and by using force adjustable gas springs we can achieve this.

“Developed primarily to match the stroke, end fittings and installation length of the most widely used Stabilus gas springs, the three RGS models offered in the replACE range can provide equivalents for around 1000 standard Lift-O-Mat 6-15, 8-19, 10-22 and 14-28 products.”
