New MD appointed
Simon Goodwin has joined electronics and electrical connectivity company, Weidmüller UK, as its new managing director. He brings to the company a wealth of experience with previous management appointments at global companies such as Omron Electronics and B+R Industrial Automation.
Goodwin will have overall responsibility for developing and driving Weidmüller forward, providing strategic leadership and overseeing all the company's activities in the UK and Ireland.
He said: "I am looking forward to working with each team at Weidmüller to develop business in the fields of industrial automation and solutions, factory automation and device manufacturing. We have some significant new product ranges that we will be launching in 2016. Weidmüller's return to the ‘Drives and Controls' show is a statement of our intent to further develop our presence in these markets."
