Dropout guarantees dry air, removing 99.995% of liquid water and 99.92% of other contaminants at a wide range of flow rates, without the need for replacement filter elements.

 

Since its launch Dropout has impressed customers with its ability to do exactly what it says on the tin. One of those customers is Original Limited, an engineering company whose expertise lie in the design and engineering of high quality cast, front-end auxiliary drive (FEAD) mount kits. More than 70,000 kits are currently in service.

 

The company’s most recent development is a high performance, under-chassis mounted, engine-driven air compressor system – the Original VR70 – which produces air on demand. This means that as the customer’s pneumatic tools require more air, the vehicle engine increases RPM to produce more air to match requirements. There is no need for receiver tanks as the system provides power at the push of the button, for as long as it is needed. There is no need to wait to fill a tank. The system is used by a range of maintenance companies and by tyre companies such as ATS and County Tyres.

 

The Original VR70 is situated under bonnet and under chassis, leaving the back of the van free from tanks and engines. The space-saving, point-of-use design of Dropout is a further benefit.

Technical director, Andy Richards said: “We came across Dropout after searching for a solution to some problematic vehicles. We had been struggling to find a robust solution to cure the moisture problems in our compressed air system, and when we tested Dropout the results seemed too good to be true. So we set up some field trials with our customers. The feedback we received was 100% positive and two years later the performance remains consistently high. In fact it’s so good we are now in the process of signing a distributor deal to supply Dropout.”

 

The Dropout technology has been subjected to independent tests by recognised test houses including one of the leading droplet and particle measurement companies, Droplet Measurement Technologies (DMT).
