According to new analysis by PwC in its latest UK Economic Outlook report, employment is set to grow by around three million over the next decade, with the total number of jobs reaching almost 37 million by 2025. However, with the rise of new automated technologies continuing to boost productivity and overseas competition remaining fierce, it’s predicted that the number of jobs in manufacturing could fall by 600,000 to around two million over the same period.
