SCHAD GmbH was founded in 2007 by Christian Schad to offer a global standard for the mobile operation, control and maintenance of automated systems using an ordinary mobile device, after he identified a lack of enterprise mobility solutions for industry.

History of innovation
Initially working in partnership with RIM and BlackBerry, SCHAD’s team of process engineers began developing the first mobile SCADA and maintenance system to improve operational efficiency of process automation systems, EXTEND7000.
Today, SCHAD has been recognised for its contribution to industrial automation with a series of industry awards for innovation and expanded its business operations into the UK and Germany.

Mobile solution

SCHAD has announced a global partnership with Vanderlande Industries, a specialist in automated material handling systems used, for example, by manufacturing and logistics departments. As part of the agreement, Vanderlande Industries will be launching its Mobile Maintenance Solution (MMS) which integrates SCADA with enterprise asset management solutions such as IBM Maximo. SCHAD worked with Vanderlande to develop the solution as a maintenance management tool.
