productUKWA, the United Kingdom Warehousing Association, has announced that the fifth in the Warehousing Futures series of networking conferences and exhibitions will take place at the St John’s Hotel, Solihull, on 29th and 30th October 2012.
newsAccording to John Maguire, national chairman of the United Kingdom Warehousing Association (UKWA), too few talented people are pursuing careers in logistics and, as a result, the industry is facing a skills shortage that, if unchecked, could represent a real threat to the sector’s future development.
Roger Williams, UKWA’s longstanding CEO, has handed over his current role to Peter Ward, until recently commercial director and head of cargo supply chain at London Gateway.
productPeter Ward, UKWA’s new CEO, will be speaking at the IntraLogisteX exhibition (Wednesday 25 March, Ricoh Arena, Coventry) and will be highlighting how major changes in demographics, society and policy are creating opportunity for 3PLs.
newsUKWA (United Kingdom Warehousing Association) has announced that the former director general of the CBI and trade minister, Lord Digby Jones will be guest speaker at the 16th annual Awards for Warehousing presentation ceremony. The event, which is sponsored by Jungheinrich UK, will be held alongside the Annual Luncheon, and takes place in London, on Wednesday 1st July 2015.
