The company was founded by Jim Kelly, MD, who has a wealth of experience, both on the production shop floor and in the management and supply of high efficiency new machine tools.

He says: “I could see the potential for a product such as PSL DataTrack and wanted to offer practical solutions to precision engineers both in sub-contract and general engineering, particularly to ‘owner/managers’ who needed to ‘run the business’ and ‘do the business.”

By 2003, having been recognised as a key supplier of software in the sub-contract precision engineering sector, Prospec Systems was welcomed into the BTMA (British Turned Parts and Machined Component Manufacturers Association) and subsequently the GTMA.
