ESAB presents Renegade ET 210iP Advanced
ESAB HAS introduced the Renegade ET 210iP Advanced, a pulsed TIG/MMA inverter featuring a 4.3in colour TFT (thin film transistor) operator interface that is as advanced as its arc welding performance.
The 110 mm-wide color display, in combination with two soft keys and a push-button knob, provide intuitive and easy access to all welding functions. The Renegade ET 210iP offers a TIG welding output of 210A and an MMA output of 180A, both at 25% duty-cycle. It has a pulsed TIG output adjustable between 0.1 and 999 pulses per second (PPS) and a peak pulse amperage duration that is adjustable between 10 and 90%.
The Renegade’s pulsed TIG performance is valued by fabricators working with stainless steel, chrome-moly, thin metals, and other heat-sensitive applications who use pulsed TIG to reduce heat input, narrow the weld profile, and increase travel speed.
"We designed the Renegade ET 210iP Advanced operator interface so that operators can visualize the full TIG weld sequence," said Bartosz Kutarba, global product manager – light industrial equipment at ESAB. "Advanced displays make it easier and faster for operators to set and adjust all the functions users demand in a premium TIG/MMA welder, including pulse adjustment. Once preferences have been set, they can be stored in one of 10 memory slots for fast recall." The color TFT display is configurable in multiple languages and provides information on wear parts, filler metals and maintenance instructors.
In addition to the Renegade ET 210iP Advanced, ESAB recently launched the Renegade ES 210i inverter for MMA and Live TIG welding, the Renegade ET 180iP and Renegade ET 210iP. All machines use 1Ph, 115/230 VAC mains power ± 15%, 50/60 Hz for location flexibility. Renegade inverters have a built-in active Power Factor Correction (PFC) circuit that allows the machine to work perfectly even on a poor-quality power supply and on very long extension cables (up to 100m). Renegade replaces ESAB’s Caddy Arc and Caddy Tig welding power sources, which were among the most successful MMA/TIG products in Europe for the last two decades. With their modern inverter design, Renegade TIG and MMA welders meet EU Ecodesign Directives and offer customers superior energy efficiency.
Renegade’s advanced MMA features include adjustable Hot Start, adjustable Arc Force and electrode type selection to optimise arc characteristics for basic, rutile and cellulosic electrodes. TIG functions include HF arc starts, Lift TIG for arc starts without HF, gas pre- and post-flow, adjustable upslope/downslope, 2- and 4-stroke trigger functionality and offer remote control compatibility. With the Renegade ET 210iP Advanced, a dual-current mode trigger function switches between two output current settings to control heat input and size of the weld pool. This mode can be activated from the Exeor TIG torch, either the SR 17 air-cooled model or the SR 21 water-cooled model.
The Renegade ET 210iP Advanced is used by fabricators that want best-of-class arc performance in a compact, highly portable package. This includes industrial and mobile fabricators, shipyards and offshore years, civil and pipe construction, repair and maintenance, pressure vessel and steel erection. Easy-to-grab front, rear and top handles provide the operator maximum flexibility for lifting the machine, and handles are constructed and positioned to protect connectors and the panel from rough welding environments. The machines are assembled at ESAB’s facility in Opole, Poland.
