Titled ‘Safety 50 and Beyond’, the conference marks the NISO’s  50th anniversary and will take place in the Radisson Blu Hotel, Galway on Friday 4 October.

Keynote speakers include Dr Christa Sedlatschek, director of the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA) and Jan Chmiel, chief executive of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH). The conference programme offers an insight into current topical issues,which include the role of the safety professional in the insurance claims process; incident management and emergency response and working with duty-holders to ensure better compliance.

Also, a UK-based organisation will deliver a thought-provoking drama on behavioual-based safety. The  drama, based on true life incidences, will interact with conference delegates and involve delegates in solution development.
