Video demonstrates 3D printing at scale

COMPONENTS MANUFACTURER and service provider Igus has released a YouTube video showing its 3D printing services for making components of up to 3m.

Igus has taken to YouTube to demonstrate its large-format 3D printing capabilities. The company's Iglidur 3D printing filaments, developed specifically for mechanical engineering, are used for the large format printing service which can build 3D printed parts with dimensions of up to 3metres.

The company claims its Iglidur filaments have up to 50 times the abrasion resistance of ABS, PETG or PLA, and can be used to manufacture components intended for jig construction, special machine construction or packaging technology.
