INSPEC International, provider of
testing and certification services to
manufacturers of personal protective
equipment (PPE), has awarded its
2000th CE Mark certificate to 3M,
which had applied for a CE Mark for
a specialist Fahrenheit Tactical goggle.

The milestone comes 19 years after
INSPEC set up its certification services
division in anticipation of the UK
implementation of the European PPE
Directive. INSPEC was one of the first
Notified Bodies for the Directive.
Today, INSPEC provides test and
certification for helmets, eye protectors,
sunglasses, hearing protectors,
respiratory protection and breathing
apparatus, fall arrest devices, gloves
and chemical protective clothing.
