Climate Center won the award for
Environmental Collaboration of the
Year in the finals of the Cooling
Industry Awards 2012 for a project
with Mitchells & Butlers and GEA
Searle that delivered reduced energy
consumption in beer cellars.

The project resulted in a new
refrigeration system that harnesses
‘free cooling’ and is now installed in
some 500 pubs and restaurants
across the UK. The cooler is reported
to be saving the pub chain 30% on its
cooling energy bills.
