PIX hydraulic hose and end-fittings
have been awarded the prestigious
DNV (Det Norske Veritas) MED
(Marine Equipment Directive) Type
Approval. This is in addition to the
DNV certification that was
conferred upon the company in
2008.

The MED Type Approval is an
unbiased third-party certification
attesting to a product’s adherence to
specific standards or specifications,
and verification of an appropriate
production quality system.

Karan Sethi, operations director
for UK-based PIX Hydraulics,

DNV MED approved
manufacturers.”
PIX products that conform to the
DNV MED certification include the
Performer, Prokomp, Armour,
Thermal, Hi-Pulse, Impetus, and
new Bastion branded hoses.
