In its quest for improved efficiency,
Byworth Boilers incorporates a
number of new features into its
boilers, such as X-ID tubes. These
are said to increase the heat transfer
by more than 80% and are suitable
for gas and oil-fired boilers,
including those on heavy fuel oil.
More than 50% of Yorkshireman
boilers are now built with internal
economisers suitable for gas and
low sulphur diesel firing. These are
said to offer 4 to 5% fuel saving,
often giving payback in less than a
year. While Byworth has kept pace with
technological advances through the
introduction of waste heat, preheated
combusion air and biomass
boilers, the mainstay of its business
remains the MX and Yorkshireman
ranges. The compact MX reverse
flame boiler suits applications from
125 to 5000kg/h; the Yorkshireman
is a conventional three pass wetback
design of up to 18,000kg/h. Both
come with energy saving options.
