Nedpack’s vertical buffer
system is based on
Prorunner mk5, its
product elevator. The
main advantage of this
buffer system is said to
be its use of space. A
traditional,
accumulating roller
conveyor will often
require a large number
of running metres; the
mk5 needs just a few square metres.

Prorunner mk5 works on the
principle of a paternoster. By adding
additional product carriers, the
machine can be used to bridge
height differences and for product
buffering. Applications include an
end-of-line packaging
process where the
buffer system can be
used as an
accumulation system
for a palletiser.
