Ecocleen, part of the Servest
Group, is celebrating a
prestigious contract with Tesco
Distribution that now covers 12 sites.

The Fenny Lock site in Milton
Keynes, for example, processes over
25,000 inbound pallets a week and
despatches more than 38,000 roll
cages to eight other Tesco depots.

About 800 staff are employed in the
warehousing and office facilities, the
centre covers more than 650,000ft2
and operates 24/7.

Ecocleen operates with a team of
almost 90 staff spread
over three shifts every
day, with an intensive
deep clean programme
scheduled for Saturday
and Sunday.

Ecocleen was subject to a
management buyout in 2003 and
acquired the Sherwood Group in
2008. Both are now rebranded under
the South African based Servest Group
that employs more than 30,000
people worldwide. Servest is a multi
service provider supplying cleaning,
waste management, landscaping, pest
control, washroom, maintenance,
security and specialist services.
