Donghua has built a new chain
length measuring machine at its UK
distribution centre’s workshop. It
measures to within 10µm/m (a
human hair is 80 to 100µm).

The equipment can also pre-load
(pre-stretch) chain. This means
Donghua’s attachment chain is ready
and easy to fit from the box. Where
precise positioning of more than two
chains used in parallel is required,
the chains need to be matched
within a close tolerance of each other.

Donghua’s new equipment makes it
possible to match chains from 3/8 to
2in pitch in British and American
standards to 5m. For longer lengths,
chains can be supplied matched and
tagged ready to be fitted in sequence.
