Anew product has been added
by Hansford Sensors to its
vibration monitoring range.

The new HS-620 vibration
monitoring kit contains a portable
digital vibration meter, operating
with a handheld probe.

It is designed for maintenance
technicians to use to monitor
vibration levels on plant and
machinery, helping to find potential
problems and avoid future failures.

The kit can be used to monitor the
trend of vibration levels on motors,
pumps, gearboxes, fans and all
rotating machinery. Suitable as an
entry-level unit for vibration
monitoring, the meter’s portability
means measurements can be taken
in-situ in remote parts of the factory.

Conforming to the ISO 10816-3
machine vibration standard, the unit
can measure bearing condition and
levels of velocity, acceleration and
displacement, covering any of the
four ISO machine group options
ranging from large 300kW machines
(Group 1) down to simple pumps at
15kW (Group 4). It has a ‘hold’
facility where the display will
indicate the alarm status.

The meter is powered by a
rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery.
