8049 positioner is a digital unit for
positioning pneumatically controlled
actuators. Of compact design, it can
be top-mounted to any commercially
available pneumatic control valve
fitted with
linear and partturn
actuators.

Mounted
centrally over the valve actuator, it
needs no additional exposed
linkages. No moving parts are
accessible, boosting safety and
reliability. Three operating systems
are available: a standard 4 wire unit
using 24VDC solenoids and 4-20mA
control, two wire loop powered using
Piezoelectric technology and AS-I
control technology.

Positioners with 4-wire technology
do not necessarily require the use of
Instrument standard compressed air,
therefore being adaptable to almost
any industry available air source.

However they do
require an
additional 24VDC
power supply.

The piezo
technology requires
Instrument air quality and uses loop
power from the control circuit.

The positioners are also available
in two explosion proof versions.
