Due to its twin motor design, the Packmat can ‘back-hoe’ waste in the containers to ensure even filling and level loads. The machine compacts all waste types quickly and efficiently, performing the function of a number of traditional static or portable waste compactors. It can also move full containers out of the way (weight up to 10t) by forks equipped with rollers, and move empty containers in their place without the use of a hook-lift vehicle. As a result, there’s no need for drivers to be HGV trained, and money can be saved on transportation which also helps to save the environment.
