Concrete reasons for fleet choice
When Rackham Housefloors, producer of pre-stressed concrete floor systems, decided to renew its handling fleet it researched the market to find a truck that would cope with restrictions on aisle widths, storage space and the fragile nature of the product, and which would be kind to product, operator and environment.
The company opted for the Bulmor Lancer LQ 50 which offers a lifting height of 5000mm and platform width of 1200mm. The six new sideloaders were chosen for the soft precise nature of their controls, good load manouvreability, simple clean burn engines and economic cost of ownership.
In comparison to the model 556 sideloaders that they have replaced, the LQ 50s are more manouverable (70° turning angle), quieter and have extended 500h service intervals. A BEGE full suspension seat and roomy panoramic cab boost comfort.
