Cool Energy has installed a 12-week
contingency cooling package to the
Energy Centre in central London
that provides electrical power, hot
water and air conditioning to local
communities and 2500+ homes.

Access for chiller header pipes to
the building was through a single
flow and return access point. From
here pipework connected 8 x 1mW
rental chillers arranged in parallel.

To prevent any pressure drop and
maintain a smooth transition
between
cooling
circuits, each
chiller was
supported by
an
independent
pump to
relieve the
pressure
reduction.

The Cool
Energy team
installed a central control manager,
which allowed all chillers to be
controlled and programmed as a
single 8mW chiller with 16
compressors. An energy monitoring
device was also installed.
