To help manage waste from
its catering and retail
operations more effectively,
The Snowcentre, in Hemel
Hempstead, has installed a
baler supplied by recycling
specialist, Greenbank.

Since it was installed in
January, the centre has seen a
50% reduction in the amount
of waste that is put into its
bins and collections have gone
down from three times a week
to once every three weeks for
the baled cardboard.

“Now we have the baler it
is not only very easy for staff
to dispose of any cardboard as
they don’t even have to fold it,
the bin area is also incredibly
tidy!” said Keith Griffin,
commercial manager of The
Snowcentre.

Griffin has also been
impressed by the service he
has received from Greenbank.
