Belzona products have been applied
to pressure relief valves on the
turbine spiral casing at Ffestiniog
Power Station to protect them from
corrosion.

Belzona 1111 (Super Metal), a
machinable repair composite was
used to rebuild the heavily pitted
areas of the valve before an overcoat
of Belzona 5811 (immersion grade)
was applied to protect against further
corrosion. The latter is designed for
the protection of metallic and nonmetallic
surfaces operating under
immersion.
