When a blue chip aero-space
manufacturer’s paint and
coatings plant in Bristol
needed to expand capacity, it
soon realised that its Carbolite
ovens were not large enough
to meet the increased output.

A larger paint stoving and
curing oven was required
that would meet the need for
a strict internal performance
specification and conform to
the specifications of the
aerospace heat treatment
regime of NADCAP / AMS
2750D Class 2.
Carbolite’s LGP6 2700
provided a solution. It has a
durable stainless steel interior
with 2700L capacity and a
maximum operating
temperature of 600°C. Its
powerful horizontal airflow
offers good uniformity.

A standard LGP6 2700 oven
would not fit through the
workshop doors but as
Carbolite ovens are built to
order, design modifications
can be made. Carbolite cut
the oven design in half, built
the modules and reassembled
them so that the
customer could approve the
oven’s performance. The
oven was split into halves for
delivery. Carbolite then
reunited the two halves in
their final working location.
