E.ON’s Connah’s Quay power station
is controlling the issue of PPE using
a tailor-made cashless vending
solution advised by Quintus Systems.

A glass fronted merchandiser now
offers access to a range of PPE such
as protective eyewear, safety gloves,
dust masks and ear defenders.

Quintus Systems has integrated its
EPnet cashless software with E.ON’s
Indala security access control system.

Staff simply bring their proximity tag
close to the machine reader and then
make their selection. Equipment is
dispensed automatically without the
need for coins or tokens.

Each issue is recorded in real time
and reported back to a remote PC,
which collates and aggregates details
of transactions. E.ON management
is able to plan future purchases and
investigate abnormal use.
