The trucks are by virtue of their function relatively high off the ground. The platform helps boost safety, saves time and imposes less strain on the driver, especially when the truck is in regular use.

The platform extends by pushing a button from outside the truck. It is operated electrically and can be used without the truck running. Once the operator is inside, he pushes a button inside the cabin and it retracts. There is a safety mechanism so that the truck does not travel with the platform outside.

When getting out, the operator applies the hand brake, sends out the platform, gets out of the truck and moves the platform inward by again pushing a button.
