The Schwank Energy Calculator App, which can be downloaded for free takes the user through a range of steps to demonstrate the savings that could be made in heating interior spaces within an industrial or commercial building for both new buildings and retrofits. A comparison is made between the gas consumption of the existing system and that of a new system with the latest energy saving technology installed.

This estimate is reached through a set of questions about the building’s dimensions and age, desired room temperature (default setting 19°C), number of working hours, and current gas price. The final calculation will also show the reduced carbon reduction levels that can be achieved.
