Efficient Air has launched SPHERE
to help meet the increasing
requirement for energy reduction
within datacentres.

This service was used on behalf of
Colt Technology Services at two of
its data centres in London. Using
Sphere, Colt is said to have achieved
44% contribution to its 10%
corporate PUE objective for 2010,
64% saving on air delivery plant load
and a 14 month payback.

Sphere’s key feature is that it is
based on the principle of looking
holistically at how the cooling
infrastructure serves the IT
equipment. A full Sphere survey may
include an analysis of the chiller, heat
rejection plant, through to internal
data centre configuration and air
flow distribution.
