The new company, which inherits the former RSA Engineering Inspection & Consultancy business, is backed by Inflexion Private Equity. It will trade as British Engineering Services in the UK and Irish Engineering Services in the Republic of Ireland.

The company can trace its roots back to 1859. Its predecessors were the companies who developed the original engineering inspection services, National Vulcan and British Engine. Today it has 450 highly trained engineer surveyors and consultant engineers, strong customer support systems and a wealth of technical expertise.
