After a four-year evaluation and qualification phase, during which the sensors proved to be suitable for use in space, IST AG received the ESCC-certificate from the European Space Agency (ESA) in February 2018. The certified sensors are also suitable for other high reliability applications,such as in aerospace or automotive.

The sensors are resistant to thermal cycles and provide stable measurement results at 70,000 cycles from -200 to +200°C. Furthermore, the sensors are very drift stable, have a small size (L x W x H: 2.3 x 2.0 x 1.3mm), are light, and very robust thanks to no moving parts.

The RTDs are available with resistors from Pt100 to Pt2000 and correspond to tolerance class B (IEC 60751 F0.3). They are available as Engineering Model (EM) as well as Flight Model (FM). If required, IST AG also offers customer-specific adaptations of the sensors, e.g. extended wires (with ESCC-qualified wire). Sensors & Instrumentation Stand G14
