BEKA associates’ eight variable
Foundation fieldbus indicators can
now be configured on-site as a fieldbus
Node or as a fieldbus Listener.

As a Node the indicator is
configured via the fieldbus host, the
instrument push buttons being used to
select which pre-configured variable
is displayed and, if required, to return
operator acknowledgments to the host.

As a fieldbus Listener, the indicator
is not visible to the fieldbus host and
configuration is via the instrument’s
push buttons, but the Listener does
not use any valuable macrocycle time
and may not be subject to a Node
Licence Fee, reducing operating costs.
